Several of my current work
relates to my thoughts on communication and class structure
as it
exists today.
It dawned on me, while visiting
the pyramids of Chichen Itza, that the ruling class has,
through history, communicated in a language which is always
esoteric. The Mayan High Priest utilized tools
of mathematics, astronomy, and religion to control and
inform the people. The people, for the most part could
not read, write, or choose their own Gods.
Today, we are confronted
with the ‘digital age’, a time when the new
‘high priest’ amongst us is known as a ‘scientist’.
Again, as people, we are confronted with a esoteric language
involving mathematics, advanced physics, and the clash
of religion.
Money, entertainment, news,
gossip, nuclear secrets, recipes, horoscopes, blogs,chats,
pornography, art, music, war games, medical knowledge,
and religions all flow in a series of zeros and ones toward
infinity.
Who controls this new language?
